The Global Connections Dinner Series provides opportunities for intimate conversation about international issues in private settings. Individuals interested in foreign affairs host these dinners in their homes or other private venues. Hosts personally plan the topic and theme. Experts and/or scholars are invited to lead the evening’s discussion.
Each program is limited in attendance, with most including fewer than twenty people. The Global Connections Dinner Series offers a rare opportunity for individuals to expand their knowledge of international affairs and engage in sophisticated conversation.
The 2009 Global Connections Dinner Series took place October 8, 2009, through January 7, 2010. Dinner topics included, but were not limited to, Iran’s quest for regional dominance, Pakistan’s role in regional and global peace, development in Africa, the rise and fall of Communism, the global economic crisis and recovery, and the health care debate. Information on the fall 2010 series will be posted soon.
